During the creation of this art piece, the artist was reflecting on how individuals have the power to create their own image.
Here we “hold” the power to view ourselves in whatever way we choose.
Our perspective can either fill or empty our souls.
With each edition, no artwork will be exact and as perspective changes, so might the art.

Men
- Chest - Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, just below the armpits.
- Waist - Measure around the narrowest part of the torso, or natural waist. You can also use a string or narrow elastic to mark the narrowest point.
- Pants waist - Measure at the height you prefer to wear your pants, which may differ from your natural waistline. If you're unsure, wear trousers that fit well and measure around the waistband where they sit.
- Hips - Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat.
- Pants length - Measure from the preferred height that you wear your pants and let the tape measure fall to the floor. Keep your head up as looking down will make the length shorter.
- Back length - measure from the back of your neck and let the other side of the tape measure touch the floor or ask someone to help measure to the floor.
- Sleeve length - Measure from the tip of the shoulder down the outside of the arm to the wrist bone.
Ladies
- Bust – Measure around the fullest part of your bust, typically at the nipples. Ensure the tape is straight and doesn't dip at the back. Check this in a mirro
- Waist – Measure around the narrowest part of your torso. To find it, stand tall and lean to one side; the bend is your waist. You can also tie a string around your waist to help locate it.
- Hip – your hip measurement is taken around your body at the fullest point of your hips/bottom. It’s probably lower down than you think and not around the top of your hip bone.
- Pants/skirt length – measure from your natural waist to the floor. Keep your head up as looking down will make the length shorter.
- Sleeve length – measuring the full length of your arm from the top edge of your shoulder to your wrist is useful for sleeve and cuff adjustments.
- Back length – measure from the back of your neck and let the other side of the tape measure touch the floor or ask someone to help measure to the floor.
